Poonhill Trekking Seasons
Poonhill Trekking SeasonsThe Poonhill trekking is one of the most popular and accessible treks in Nepal because it offers breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. Whether you are an experienced trekker or just starting, choosing the right time of year for your trek is importantThe best time to go on the Poonhill trekking includes:

1. Spring (March to May)
Spring is considered the best
time to go on Poonhill trekking. The weather is mild, with clear skies and rhododendron forests in bloom, adding color to the trails. The temperature varies from 10°C to 20°C during the day, which is ideal for trekking. The snow-capped peaks, such as Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre, look spectacular during this time.

2. Autumn (September to November)
Another peak season for Poonhill trekking is autumn.
The freshness of the air after monsoon rains offers excellent visibilityThe day temperatures are about 15°C to 20°C while it gets much cooler at nightDue to the huge flow of trekkers along the route, this time of the year is very apt for photography and outdoor activities.

3. Winter (December to February)
Winter
is a bit quieter and less crowded. While the mornings and evenings can get cold, daytime temperatures are usually pleasant, fluctuating from 5°C to 15°C. Snowfall at higher altitudes can add magic to the trek, especially around Poonhill. However, trekkers should be prepared for colder weather and carry appropriate gear.

4. Monsoon (June to August)
Monsoon
is the least favorite time for Poonhill trekking because of heavy rainfall that makes the trails slippery and leeches a problem. However, this season gives a unique experience to those who love solitude and lush green landscapes. The weather is warm, with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C, but views of the mountains may be obscured by clouds.
